About Single Spark Social
Welcome to Single Spark Social, an Events by Shay & Steph Company! Single Spark Social was created by Shaina Paulsen and Stephanie Bolduc, two longtime event and entertainment professionals who believe there is still something incredibly powerful about meeting people face-to-face.
Before creating Single Spark Social, Shaina and Stephanie spent years working together behind the scenes of one of Chico's most recognizable entertainment venues, The Tackle Box. During that time, they discovered firsthand just how much people crave genuine connection, conversation, and a reason to get out and socialize.
Experience You Can Trust
Shaina spent 15 years as the Marketing and Event Coordinator at The Tackle Box, helping transform the venue from a local live-music bar into a high-capacity entertainment destination featuring nationally recognized acts. During her tenure, the venue was named Best Live Music Venue in Chico for seven consecutive years. Shaina also brings with her an extensive marketing background that spans from traditional radio to digital media. Having also previously spent about 10 years working in traditional advertising at various Chico-based Radio Companies. Shaina became an expert at pairing traditional advertising methods with digital marketing methods - taking the Tackle Box socials from non-existent to over 25,000 followers.
Stephanie also brings her own extensive background in event coordination and management. Stephanie's event coordination background started with her decades of experience organizing and executing events for local government agencies. She also spent more than six years working alongside Shaina at The Tackle Box, where she held the Catering and Logistics Manager title. Specializing in customer service and professional execution of high capacity food service jobs and National Level Event Execution.
Together, Shay & Steph take their vast knowledge and experience and put it towards something bigger than The Tackle Box.

What started with successful speed dating events at The Tackle Box, has grown into something much bigger. Since launching Single Spark Social, Shay & Steph have expanded throughout Northern California, bringing speed dating and singles events to communities across the region.
