About Me
Hazel Iwendi known as Eminent or Wendy is a social entrepreneur and management professional championing change across Nigeria and beyond. Over 7 years, she has led advocacy campaigns in environmental sustainability, education, disability inclusion, mental health, and gender equality.
In 2020, she founded Eminent Services Consults (The Volunteer Plug), a platform that connects volunteers with social impact organisations. In the span of 5 years, it has collaborated with 20+ organisations and facilitated 800+ volunteer opportunities, strengthening Nigeria's volunteer ecosystem. She's an alumna of GOTNI Leadership Centre and has received awards including Volunteer of the Year from Mentally Aware Nigeria Initiative (Abuja Chapter) and Certificate of commendation from NYSC Cross River State.
Building on her extensive experience, Hazel completed Project Management in Global Health from the University of Washington (2023) and the McKinsey Forward programme (2024). She's a YALI Network member and passionate advocate for youth development across Sub-Saharan Africa.
